ERBIL - Turkish warplanes on Tuesday targeted a couple of vehicles belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Yezidi majority of populated region of Sinjar.
Idris Zozani, a Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official, told BasNews that the two vehicles were hit in the areas of Barava and Dareshilo of Sinjar.
He further explained that there were two people in each vehicle, who were all killed in the airstrikes.
Turkey has intensified its attacks on the PKK positions in the Kurdistan Region's border areas.
Ankara views the PKK as a "terrorist organisation" and the two sides are in a decades-long military conflict over the Kurdish question in Turkey.
