Four PKK Members Killed in Fresh Turkish Airstrike near Duhok

ERBIL - A Turkish airstrike on Thursday night hit a vehicle belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Kurdistan Region's Duhok province, killing several people, a report said.

The incident took place in the town of Zaweta of Duhok province where a Turkish air raid targeted a vehicle and killed four members of the PKK, Kurdistan 24 reported.

This comes only two days after two commanders of the Iraqi border guards as well as a commander of the PKK were killed in a similar Turkish attack in Kurdistan Region's Sidakan area on Tuesday.

The PKK is designated as a "terrorist organisation" by Turkey and they are in a military conflict for more than three decades over the Kurdish question in the country.
