Iraq Records 2,170 New COVID-19 Cases

ERBIL - At least 2,170 new coronavirus cases have been registered across Iraq in the past 24 hours, the health ministry reported on Sunday.

It also said that 53 other people have lost their lives due to coronavirus since yesterday, taking the death toll to 4,868.

A total of 129,151 infections have so far been detected in Iraq since February, the ministry added.

Over the past day, at least 2,517 patients have recovered from COVID-19.

Out of the total number of coronavirus cases, 91,886 patients have been discharged from the hospital and returned home, according to the latest updates by the ministry.
