Iranian Forces Kill Fourth Kurdish Porter in 10 Days

ERBIL — Iranian border guards on Tuesday killed another Kurdish porter (better known as Kolber in Kurdish) on the border between Iranian Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Region.

Hengaw Organization for Human Rights said Kamaran Mawlani, 32, was shot dead after the Iranian border guards opened random fire at a group of porters near Sardasht border.

Mawlani is survived by his wife and a 5-years-old daughter, Hengaw said.

He was the fourth Kurdish porter killed in the past 10 days by the Iranian forces in the border areas of Sardasht and Bana, the monitoring group said.
