Kurdish Elite Congress Kicked Off in Iranian Kurdistan

ERBIL — The first-ever Kurdish Elite Congress was launched on Thursday in the Iranian Kurdish city of Sanandaj.

The event is organized by Kurdistan Province governorate to award 25 distinguished Kurdish artists, writers, scholars, and renowned figures in other fields.

The Kurdish Elite Congress will last for two days, during which several panels will be held to discuss the Kurdish cultural aspects and academic researches related to the Kurds.

Besides Kurdish figures from all parts of Kurdistan, five foreigners, who devoted their life to study and research about the Kurds, will be awarded.
