ERBIL — At least five foreign objects were removed during an operation from the stomach of a young girl at a hospital in Erbil.
Rizgari Hospital confirmed the report on Monday and published pictures of two spoon handles and three pencils which were removed from the stomach of a 23-year-old woman.
The statement noted that the Kurdish surgeon succeeded to save the woman’s life without an open surgery, but using more developed methods.
Why the patient had swallowed the objects was not clarified.
