“Orange Man Dreams” Represents Kurdistan in Goa Film Festival

ERBIL — The latest short film by Kurdish filmmaker Shirin Jahani is taking part in the 5th Goa Film Festival in India to represent Kurdistan.

“Orange Man Dreams” recreates the world of a man in the Islamic State (IS) captivity and counting down days to his death. While in prison, he dreams about freedom and recalls the days he had spent with family and friends.

Isa Mergasouri, the producer, said the short film also sheds light on the brutality of the Islamic State against humanity.

The 5th Goa Short Film Festival is taking place in India from 27 to 28 October.

Ali Akbari, Dilniya Kamousi, Arina Isa, and Ibo Afrina are starring in the film.
