ERBIL — Kurdistan Region’s Health Ministry has taken immediate action to prevent the spread of Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (VHF) disease, the ministry ensured.
Speaking to BasNews, Health Ministry Spokesperson Khalis Qader said that there has been only one case of VHFs in the Kurdistan Region, and the patient is receiving all the necessary treatments in Erbil now.
He pointed out that medical procedures and the necessary actions have been taken in the patient’s village in order to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
One case of VHF in the Kurdistan Region and seven others in Iraq have so far been reported. It has recently caused panic among the public.
