ERBIL — The belongings of a Peshmerga soldier who was killed during clashes between Peshmerga and Hashd al-Shaabi last month were handed over to the Martyrs Museum in Soran city, north of Erbil.
Shadi Muheddin Harki, the director of the museum, told BasNews that the relics of Kaywan Omar Yusuf Dolamari, the Peshmerga martyr, were handed to the museum by his children and relatives on Saturday to be kept there.
The Soran Martyrs Museum was opened last year to keep the belongings of the Peshmerga martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending Kurdistan Region against the Islamic State (IS).
Dolamari, 24, was killed on October 24, 2017 while resisting a military push by the Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi on Makhmour front.
The Iranian-backed Hashd al-Shaabi militias, also known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), launched a large-scale attack on Kurdistan Region’s disputed territories on October 16.
