ERBIL - Over 40 Kurdish girls have so far registered to participate in the third competition of selecting Miss Kurdistan for 2016.
Babylon Media company, in collaboration with the ministry of Municipality and Tourism in Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), is set to hold the festival of selecting Miss Kurdistan for 2016.
Sirwan Tofiq, the head of KRG general board of tourism told BasNews that more than 40 girls from Kurdistan Region and Iraninan Kurdistan have thus far registered to take part in the contest, noting that the registration is now open and the deadline is August 10.
Unlike the past competitions, the official said that Kurdish girls from all four parts of Kurdistan can participate in the upcoming competition of Miss Kurdistan.
Regarding the prerequisites for taking part in the competition, the competitors must be originally from Kurdistan, aged between 18 to 30 and must not be married as well.
Miss Kurdistan 2016 will be selected in an event scheduled to take place on August 27.
