IRGC Terrorist Attempting to Invade Kirkuk, Why Is US Quiet?

The betrayal of the influential wing of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), led by Hero Ibrahim and her sons, now has become evident. The PUK wing, according to a deal with Iran, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hashd al-Shaabi, ordered their affiliated military commanders to hand over the strategic areas around Kirkuk.

According sources, after the senior meeting between KDP and PUK in Dukan district of Sulaymaniyah Province, the influential faction within PUK ordered the military commanders close to it not to take orders from Kosrat Rasool, deputy of PUK secretary general, and Sheikh Jaafer Mustafa, commander of Unit 70 of PUK Peshmerga.

A force, affiliated with the influential faction, surrendered a strategic area and stood down the night before the meeting. Meanwhile, the US President Donald Trump designated the IRGC and all the armed groups backed by the IRGC under terrorism authority. Iraqi officials have publicly stated that IRGC Commander Qassem Soleimani is the advisor to Hashd al-Shaabi. Based on this, Hashd al-Shaabi is part of the IRGC designated under terrorism authority by the US.

Late on October 16, Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Haider al-Abadi, ordered Hashd al-Shaabi to launch a major offensive, overseen by IRGC, against Kirkuk and the Peshmerga forces, using heavy and light US weapons.

The entire world witnessed the effective role of the Peshmerga forces in defeating the Islamic State terrorist organization and defending all humanity.

IRGC is now attacking Kirkuk and Peshmerga with US weapons and money. The moral duty of the US and the Coalition is now to support Peshmerga and the people of Kirkuk and prevent the fall of the city to IRGC. If they fail to do so, then the US certainly needs to wait that all its interests will be threatened by the IRGC and its affiliated terrorist groups in Iraq.

The world saw a few days ago, through media outlets and social media, the military show of Hashd al-Shaabi insulting the US and Israeli flags in Basra. Is the US trying to overlook the crimes of this group and turn its back on Peshmerga, Kirkuk and Kurdistan?
