ERBIL - Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran
has urged his fellow citizens to "be very careful" when during their visits in Iran amid the increased number of violations against Iraqis in the neighboring country, a report said.
London based Al-Hayat newspaper cited the Iraqi envoy as warning that looting Iraqi tourists' properties, killing them, and similar violations have increased in the country.
"I call to the Iraqis to be more careful while visiting Iran," the Iraqi official said, according to the report.
He noted that nearly 20,000 people from Iraq travel to the Islamic Republic daily.
The newspaper said that an Iraqi tourist, a few weeks ago, was killed in Abadan city and all of his properties were looted, as well.
It added that three unknown armed men in the same city, had threatened three Iraqis and stolen whatever they had with them.
