MARDIN — Kurds in Mardin Province in Turkey’s Kurdish southeast organized on Saturday a rally in support of Kurdistan Region’s independence from Iraq.
On Saturday evening, a large number of people in Mardin gathered in Kosar area in the city to show their support for the Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum.
A number of Kurdish parties in Turkey, including Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), Freedom Movement, Kurdistan Democratic Party-Bakur and Kurdistan Socialist Party.

Kurdistan Region has scheduled the independence vote for 25th September this year. It’s electoral commission is now preparing for the plan which also includes the Kurdish disputed areas outside the official borders of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
