ERBIL- The Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)-Iran confronted the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in West Azerbaijan province, leaving two guards dead on Tuesday night.
Kurdistan Media, the official outlets of the KDP-Iran, reported the Kurdish forces attacked the Singan base of the revolutionary guards in the town of Shno on Tuesday night.
The Iranian dissident force struck "a heavy blow" against the Iranian guards, according to the report.
The causalities sustained by both sides in the confrontation are not announced by any media outlets so far.
At 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night the KDP-Iran Peshmerga fighters clashed with the Iranian guards around the town of Piranshahr, killing two guards.
As stated in the report, the Peshmerga forces left the battlefield with no casualties.
On Tuesday also near the town of Kamyaran in western Kurdistan province three more revolutionary guards were killed in clashes with unidentified gunmen.
