ERBIL— A non-governmental organization will disseminate one million leaflets, which promote voting in favor of the independence of Kurdistan Region from Iraq, to Duhok residents.
In a statement to BasNews on Tuesday, Hersh Rashid, the chairman of the Mand Organization for Equality, said the leaflets will be airdropped on the villages and districts of Duhok province.
He added a number of other NGOs and companies have supported and sponsored the campaign.
Another joint campaign by over 20 NGOs has already launched by issuance of leaflets and billboards in the public market in central Duhok, Rashid remarked.
The official campaign for the independence vote (due on September 25 this year) was launched on Tuesday.
