ERBIL - The Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi on Wednesday said that no one can reject the 2018 budget bill after it has been approved by the parliament.
In a statement published on his official account on Facebook, the Iraqi premier has indirectly responded to the Iraqi president Fuad Masum's rejection of the budget bill, saying that the bill has already been approved by the parliament and therefore no one can refuse it.
Several Iraqi sources on Tuesday said that Masum had returned the bill to the parliament for modifications.
On the same day, Alia Nusaif, an MP of the State of Law Coalition revealed that the Iraqi top official returned the bill since it has not been approved by the World Bank.
A day earlier, Masum had told Al-Sumaria news that he would only intervene in the technical issues regarding the bill, and not the amount percentage.
