MOSUL — The minister of agriculture of the Islamic State (IS) was arrested on Saturday by the Iraqi security forces in west Mosul.
Falah Rashid, IS minister of agriculture, was arrested on Saturday in the newly liberated western half of Mosul.
An Iraqi military source told Anadolu Agency that the IS minister was arrested in a special operation after the intelligence service units managed to locate him.
Iraqi government declared the entire city of Mosul free on July 10, 2017 after the city had been held by the IS militants since June 2014.
