SOFIA — US-led coalition destroyed four vehicles belonging to the so-called Islamic State (IS), west of the province of Anbar, a security source said on Saturday.
The source who spoke to al-Sumaria news on condition of anonymity said that the international coalition led by the United States targeted and hit four vehicles belonging to the IS militants in the city of Rawa, west of the Anbar province.
As a result of the attack, the vehicles were left destroyed with several IS militants killed inside them, IraqiNews reported. Meanwhile, in the area of al-Mutaibaija between Diyala and Salahaddin, three IS members were killed in another coalition airstrike.
The US-led coalition includes 68 nations which continue supporting the Iraqi government forces in their fight against the Islamic State as part of the ongoing operation for liberating the territories of Iraq from the extremist group.
