ERBIL — MPs from the Iraqi House of Representatives are trying to put a bill to voting which will restrain the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Kurdistan Parliament, warned a Kurdish lawmaker.
Speaking to BasNews on Monday, Fars Saaid, described the bill as "dangerous."
He explained that according to the bill, the decisions made by the KRG and Kurdistan Parliament should be ratified by the Federal Court.
This bill by the Iraqi government and some political parties "is to strip KRG and Kurdistan Parliament off their legitimacy," Saaid declared, stressing "This bill aims at fettering Kurdistan Region."
