MOSUL — Islamic State (IS) leaders take the daughters of Sunni Arab residents of the areas under their control, forcing them into temporary marriage or sexual jihad, a Peshmerga commander said.
Tariq Koyi, a Peshmerga commander near Mosul told BasNews that they have intelligence proving that IS leaders entered the Sunni Arab villages and single out young Sunni Arab girls in order to take them for sexual jihad purposes against their will.
Soon after the IS militants took control of Mosul, they begun taking girls from the city as part of their inhumane practice of sexual jihad.
IS militants do this against Sunni Arabs as well, whereas the Sunni Arabs joined IS upon the arrival of the group in Mosul.
According to the Peshmerga commander, the captive women face extrajudicial execution after the jihadists accuse them of spying.
