BERLIN — An unknown group of people attacked last night the Kurdistan Region’s independence rally organized by the Kurdish diaspora in Berlin, Germany, leaving around 15 people wounded.
Kurdish diaspora in Berlin held a rally on Sunday evening in support of Kurdistan Region’s independence referendum, scheduled for September 25.
The event attended by 500 people came under attack by a number of unidentified individuals, who seemed to be against the independence of Kurdistan Region of Iraq. As a result, around 15 people were injured and transferred to hospital.
However, the Kurdish community in Germany is planning to run a large-scale independence rally on August 26th in Berlin.
