ERBIL - Registering a new daily record, Iranian Health Ministry said on Monday that it had confirmed 13,053 coronavirus cases within the past day.
After 486 other individuals died from COVID-19, Iranian authorities began planning for tougher restrictions to better contain the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
Speaking to state TV, Sima Lari, a spokesperson for Iran's Health Ministry, revealed that the COVID-19 tally in the country has now reached 775,121, from which 41,979 people lost their lives.
However, at least 564,699 patients have so far recovered from COVID-19 across Iran, the spokesperson concluded.
