ERBIL - Iraqi PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi has thanked his Kurdish counterpart Masrour Barzani and the security forces in the Kurdistan Region for their cooperations in finding and capturing the murderer of the Kurdish family in Baghdad.
"I thank the prime minister of Kurdistan Region and Kurdistan Region's security [Asaish] for their valuable cooperations with the federal security forces in reaching the criminal quickly," Kadhimi wrote on Twitter.
Kurdistan Region's counter-terrorism force on Wednesday evening announced that the security forces in Erbil had captured the main suspect behind the slaughtering of a Kurdish family, including a man with his wife and daughter, in Baghdad.
Dara Raoof, a Kurdish doctor in Baghdad, and his wife and daughter, were all slaughtered by a group of unidentified armed on September 14, after which the main suspect escaped to Kurdistan Region's capital Erbil, attempting to move to Turkey.
