ERBIL — Hundreds of university graduates gathered in central Baghdad on Monday to stage a new phase of protests.
Local media outlets said the protesters were calling for employment in the public sector as it was promised by the government.
They accuse Prime Minister Mustafa l-Kadhimi of not keeping his promise to create job opportunities for the large number of well-educated people who struggle to find a job.
The protesters reportedly blocked a main road near Baghdad International Fair and raised the Iraqi flags.
