ERBIL — A high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is set to visit Baghdad on Tuesday, 8th September.
The delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, was previously scheduled to arrive in the Iraqi capital last Sunday.
Samir Hawrami, a spokesperson for Talabani’s office, told Kurdistan 24 that the Kurdish delegation is hoping to resolve the disputes with the federal government over budget and oil.
This will be the first meeting between Erbil and Baghdad after Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi visited Washington last month, where he was encouraged to urgently resolve the disputes with the Kurdistan Region.
