ERBIL — Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that his country’s first COVID-19 vaccine has received approval from the health ministry.
Putin revealed that his own daughter has already been inoculated against the virus with the new vaccine, and that she had a slight temperature after being given the vaccine, but it quickly went away.
The vaccine was developed by Moscow’s Gamaleya Institute, according to Russia Today.
The Russian president also hoped that Russia would soon start mass production of the COVID-19 vaccine.
