ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Monday introduced several new measures on face covering in public to better contain the spread of coronavirus.
Restaurants, supermarkets, and other related public places are asked to not allow people to enter the sites unless they wear face masks, otherwise they would face legal actions.
Cafes, resorts, and public parks will be closed while traveling between the provinces will be banned for one week, according to a statement by the interior ministry.
The new measures will go into effect on August 4, at 11:59 pm. However, the ministry’s statement did not indicate how long will the restrictions last.
Swimming pools, and gyms will be closed and no ceremonies or gatherings will be allowed, the press release added.
