ERBIL — After six more deaths due to the novel coronavirus in Kirkuk on Wednesday, the death toll in the Kurdish disputed province has now climbed to 233, an official said.
A total of 99 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Kirkuk on July 29 alone, said Saman Yaba, a spokesperson for Kirkuk health department.
The official said the infection tally has now reached 4,432, with 596 patients remaining in hospitals as active cases.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 603 people have recovered from the pandemic disease in Kirkuk.
