Turkish, Russian Forces Conduct Joint Patrol in Syria's Hasakah

ERBIL - The Turkish and Russian forces conducted a new joint patrol in Syria's Hasakah countryside, a war monitor revealed on Monday.

The two countries' forces began the patrol from Sherik, located between Turkey and Syria in al-Darbasiya countryside, touring the villages of Dalik, Malak, Abbas, Zahr, al-Arab and Kasra, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

"Then the vehicles headed to Kurkond, Ta’alak and Otayshan in west Al-Darbasiyyah countryside," the Britain-based monitoring group added. "The patrol was escorted by the Russian helicopters flying over the area."

Earlier on June 9, the Turkish and Russian forces carried out a similar patrol in Kobani, according to the Observatory group.
