Kurdistan Parliament to Investigate Turkish, Iranian Bombardments

ERBIL - Kurdistan Region Parliament will dispatch a delegation to the borders with Turkey and Iran for investigations into the two neighbors' recent bombardments.

Confirming to BasNews, MP Chiya Hamid Sharif pointed out that the delegation, including three committees, will visit the border areas where Turkey and Iran have intensified their bombardments.

While Iran shells the region to target the Kurdish opposition groups, Turkey has begun an operation against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), as a result of which a number of villages have been evacuated and civilians have been killed.

"Those committees will investigate the Turkish attacks and Iranian bombardments and later the three committees will prepare a joint report for the presidency of the parliament," the Kurdish lawmaker noted.
