Iraq Confirms 2,334 New COVID-19 Cases

ERBIL - Iraq's Ministry of Health said on Saturday that it had registered 2,334 new coronavirus infections across the country over the past day.

According to a statement by the ministry, 106 other people have also died from the novel virus, with which the death toll spiked to 2,368 since February.

The new reports brought the total number of people so far diagnosed with COVID-19 in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to 58,354, the ministry added.

Out of the total number of cases, at least 31,077 patients have so far recovered and returned home.
