Coronavirus: Iran Reports 2,499 New Cases, 148 Deaths

ERBIL — Iranian government confirmed on Saturday that 2,499 more people had tested positive for COVID-19.

Health ministry spokesperson, Sara Lari, told reporters that they had recorded 148 deaths related to the novel virus as well.

According to the ministry’s latest figures, the death toll for the new coronavirus has now reached 11,408.

The total number of infections is 237,878 as of 4th July, Lari said.
