ERBIL - A Turkish reconnaissance drone on Tuesday evening crashed in the Kurdistan Region border areas, an official has confirmed.
Speaking to BasNews, Zeravan Musa, head of the local administration in Darkare town, explained that the drone crashed in the village of Dere, in Zakho district of Duhok province.
The cause of the crash was not known immediately, he noted.
However, the official added, the incident caused a huge fire in the village.
"The Turkish warplanes have been shelling the town and it has caused panic among the residents of the area," Musa concluded.
