COVID-19 Cases in Kurdistan Spike to 4,874

ERBIL - The total number of people so far infected with coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region has now spiked to 4,874, the health ministry confirmed.

A total of 100 infections were registered in Sulaimaniya province, 62 in Garmiyan area, 30 in capital Erbil and three others in Duhok province, the ministry said.

At least 16 patients have also lost their lives since yesterday, including 12 in Sulaimaniya, three in Garmiyan, and one in Erbil.

Out of the total number of cases, a total of 1,543 patients have been discharged from the hospital and 149 others have died, according to the latest updates by the health ministry.
