ERBIL — Islamic State (IS) militants kidnapped a Kurdish farmer in a village of Khanaqin, a Kurdish town disputed between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.
A local official told BasNews that the abductee lives in Kirkuk but he was visiting Yarsat village for harvesting his crops.
The man was with his brother, who managed to escape the militants, the source added.
It comes almost a week after the IS militants abducted two other Kurdish farmers in the same area, the fate of whom remains unknown up to this moment.
