ERBIL — Kurdistan Region’s Health Ministry announced six new cases of coronavirus in Erbil and Duhok provinces on Saturday.
The ministry said in a statement that five people had tested positive for COVID-19 in Akre district of Duhok province.
The new cases had all returned from Baghdad, the statement revealed.
The ministry also confirmed the infection of a man in Erbil, saying that the new case is a student in Baghdad and he tested positive after returning from the Iraqi capital to Erbil.
As of 23 May, Kurdistan Region has confirmed 461 cases of coronavirus with 5 deaths.
