ERBIL - The total number of coronavirus infections in the Kurdistan Region has now spiked to 452, the health ministry reported on Thursday.
At least 1,309 suspects have taken the test for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, out of which ten people were found infected with the novel virus, the statement added.
According to the press release, five cases were registered in the capital Erbil while the other five were in Sulaimaniya province.
Only five patients have so far lost their lives since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the region while 385 others have already recovered from the virus. However, there are now 62 active cases.
