ERBIL - US Defense Secretary Mark Esper alongside his deputy David Norquist will be put in quarantine due to the possibility of being infected with COVID-19, a spokesperson confirmed on Monday.
A Pentagon spokesperson said in a statement that a total of 37 new coronavirus cases, including 18 in the military forces, were recorded within the Defense Department.
The Pentagon previously revealed that multiple members of the military had tested positive for the novel virus.
President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he had taken the test for the coronavirus, and later was revealed that he tested negative.
